Special Xmas giveaway

Finally Gemma has seen Paris in all its Xmas bright-fullness! During this period, this town is even more beautiful!!! My little one was really enthusiast, she pointed with much joy all the lights and decorations of the town. Also for me it was really thrilling to be back in my atelier under Paris' roofs.

In these days, I discovered a new address that opened in the meanwhile in Paris, which I'd like to share with you: the "Petite épicerie". Here you can find all you need to create cute handmade accessories. They also organise some courses for children and adults. A real "coup de coeur"! If you are in Paris, it worth to pop and see it (address: 74, rue de la Verrerie, 75004)... Since now journeys are end, my etsy is re-opening again with all the old stamps and other handmade stuffs: please take a look to all my stuff on my etsy!!

To celebrate this event, I organised a special Xmas give-away!! The prize is this hand carved rubber stamp set - made with the shape of cute Xmas balls - with which you could decorate your Xmas photos in order to made your sovenirs even more sweet! To participate is easy: write a comment on this post writing your favourite cake or, in alternative, a typical dish that is eaten in your region during this period. Then, I will assign an ascending number to each comment (1,2,3, and so forth) and randomizer will find out the lucky winner! You have until the Xmas day (25th December 2014) at 15h00 (Paris time) to enter your comment. Good luck!!!

One year together!

The 25th November was the first birthday of my little Gemma, she's already one year old!! She really enjoyed to open her gifts, to play with the balloons, to dance and, above all, to eat the cake... it is so impressive to state how many progresses a baby is able to do in only one year of life! It was not so long ago when she even did not move where I placed her, now she is a cute little earthquake (I would say "heartquake") that spread kisses, joy and smiles à go-go! Here below I put together the picture that, during this last year, we have taken all together for the monthly recurrence of Gemma's birth... she's becoming my little lady!

I use this message to announce that I will open soon (the 18th December) my shop, listing again hand carved rubber stamps and pins. I would like to apologise about this long pause, but travels and critical weather conditions (which closed the postal office) compelled me to put on hold my etsy. So, see you very soon with a lot of surprises and cuteness!!

Back from Shanghai with kawaii stuff

Here me back after this rather long silence... during this while, I spent about a month in the amazing Shanghai, in China, where Orient and Occident are able to merge together! Actually, it is impressive to observe the fusion into this town between the futuristic skyscrapers of the financial district, the Pudong, and the decrepit alleys of the old town, the Nanshi, in which old temples and shikumen survived with their old history and traditions.

With my big surprise, I found that I was in the real homeland for stamps. Actually, in China there's a far long tradition for stamps, which were carved into the jade since ages ago! Usually, they figure the name or the symbol of the family. Indeed, at the Shanghai museum, I could see some stamps that were made 6-5,000 years ago! Of course, I have fallen in love with this long lasting tradition, and I also committed my own family stamps to a traditional carve master!

Yet, I have to admit that in Shanghai I above all hoarded an impressive amount of cute and kawaii stuffs: pens, rubbers, beads, carillons, stamps, figures... the lovers, as me, of the kawaii things could take a wild shopping there, without get ruined. Also the food is often showed with very cute shapes and with logo insomuch cute as I decided to turn some of them in rubber stamps...

The one that you see here above is the logo of Want Want (click here to discover this brand). You can find the face of this funny child on milk cans, but also on sweeties and cakes. According to what I was able to understand, this character is a very idol for Chinese children; also for that I decided to open a little page, which will follow with other issues, about the "Shanghai cute stamps". I hope you like it...

Another summer fruit: strawberry

If watermelon is the king of the summer fruit, strawberry is maybe the queen! I love this fruit because of it is beautiful and tasty at the same time. Thus, here's its stamp version: this set is formed by two little stamps, which have been separated to make easier to print it out in two different colours (green and red). Also a little fabric pouch, on which I stamped on my strawberries, come along with this set!

Even if it is tasty and very healthy, Gemma is compelled to wait a while before eating strawberry... at least until next summer! So, for the moment, she will pleased by only "wearing" strawberries on this little and cute bandana/bib, that I have sewed and decorated with this new set of stamps.

Here you can download for free the template to make yourself the bandana/bib. I found this kind of accessories very useful for the little ones, as Gemma, who are struggling with the little complaints linked to the growing of their little teeth!! The stamps set is available on my etsy, please check it out. I hope you like them!!

The fruit of the summer... watermelon!

Watermelon is definitely the king of the summer fruits. Fresh and delicious, it is able to refresh everybody and to bring happiness during the hot summer. A slice of watermelon is the perfect ally against hot and distress, but also the perfect design with which to decorate our summer stuffs, giving a touch of colour on postcards and diary pages of these last days of summer.

Yes! Because this fruit, more of being very tasty, looks also so good... its colours and unique shapes inspired me to carve a new set of hand carved rubber stamps with which to decorate everything with cute and little slices of watermelon!!

This set is so cute and tiny that it is perfect to create amazing patterns on fabric. It is sufficient to use the right suitable ink pad for fabric, iron the outcome for 10 seconds (in order to make the print permanent to washing), and the game is done! You will have a unique fabric, with which to do original and amazing projects. You can fin this hand carved rubber stamp set on my etsy.

Travelling with fantasy... on a paper boat

Summer is often synonymous with travel. A journey that could be to exotic and relaxing destinations, where it is possible to rest from the tiring and stressing winter... It is possible to travel by many means: by car, by train, by pane, by boat... but above all, it is possible to travel by fantasy. It is sufficient to come on board of a little paper boat and to be cuddle by the unforeseeable waves of a limitless imagination.

This new stamp is especially made for all the dreamers who love to travel with their imagination. It enables to create poetic paper boats on diaries and other paper stuffs, but also on fabric - like I have done to decorate this handmande bloomer (here if you need a cheap tutorial) for my dear little Gemma. If you'd like to do an origami paper boat, you can download this tutorial here.

I hope you like this new stamp, who can fin it on my etsy. After all, we are in the same boat, sharing the same dreams, fears, wishes, hopes, while we are floating toward an uncertain destination.

Terrycloth baby cute stuff

The transition from suction to swallowing is a challenge for every baby. When the little ones start to eat solid foods, they can be very annoyed, spitting out or drooling, and they can also refuse the pap that we parents have prepared for them with much love. It is known: each new achievement demands time and patience...

Gemma, for instance, often eat her pap without refusing it and generally she likes to taste new things. But she likes even more than eating to put her hand into the dish, to pull throw down her spoon and all items she finds on the table, to spread the pap on her, covering her face, and to turn the kitchen into a real battle field... and of course, I love her mess!!

Actually, I love the pap-time and I want to leave Gemma free to explore as much as she wants while she's eating. In order to make even more funny these first lunches, I have sewed a series of accessories in terrycloth. Towels, dolls and pants with the shape of a bunny and of a bear, and a cute smiling bib. These cute friends help very much me in any occasion I need to dry or clean up Gemma, when she exceed in her mess during the pap time!

Here you can find the patterns to download for free of the smiling bib, of the bear and bunny towel, of the bear and bunny pants, and of the bear and bunny dolls... I hope you will enjoy them!!!

For that I made two stamps, one paper plane and one pin-wheel, just to remember how is pleasant the marine breeze! You can find both on my etsy, I hope you like them!
